Meet Our Makers
We are proud to partner with talented artisans, craftswoman & craftsmen across the world, and grateful for the relationships we’ve formed.
We source directly from our artisan partners, and work collaboratively with makers on collections we have designed ourselves. We care about preserving traditional craftsmanship in order to keep techniques alive.
Each handmade piece holds a deeper meaning; read about the making process and people who make our beautiful pieces below.
Rugs, Throws & Cushions
Pacha Collection | handwoven in the andes, Peru
All of our textiles are sourced from the highlands of Peru in the Sacred Valley ~ home to the traditional weaving traditions of the Incas. Partnering with three talented artisan families, we are extremely proud to work alongside them and learn from…
-
The female artisans use traditional techniques & weave the textiles on back strap looms which they make themselves. The creative process is extremely skilled & takes around 4-6 weeks for large textiles. Each part of the process is done by hand ~ from sheering the sheep, dying the wool with natural ingredients, spinning the wool to creating the designs. Each piece is truly unique and no two are the same.
Artisan weavers work tirelessly to keep their heritage alive, and pass down their knowledge to younger generations.
Many special memories have been made learning about the creative process with our artisan partners; where they have also introduced local traditions & taught us so much about the heritage behind the craft.
We believe the uniqueness of each piece is what makes the Peruvian frazadas so special. Using textiles as a vehicle to tell stories; a woven piece of art.

Coasters
handwoven in Oaxaca, Mexico
Here is Gisella, a talented artisan weaver who we work collaboratively with to create our woven coasters. Designed by us, using colours inspired by the tropical Mexican coastline where they’re handcrafted.
-
Gisella has been a weaver all her life, she is self taught and learned to weave by observing her parents from a young age.
She lives in a village just outside of Oaxaca called Teotitlán del Valle which is famed for the traditional Zapotec textiles created there.
Gisella uses a traditional pedal loom and creates the coasters with 100% sheep wool and organic dyes.
Wicker Bags & Lampshades
desert collection | handwoven in Lima, Peru
Our curated selection of bohemian wicker bags, baskets & lampshades in our Desert Collection are handcrafted in the small fishing village, just outside of Lima, on the coast of Peru.
-
We work directly with a family of artisans who have been weaving with straw materials for generations. Our weavers take on an innovative approach to straw weaving and create different styles of bags and homewares specific to their own family.
Using natural materials that are home farmed and preserved, our artisan partners create unique designs that are timeless and sustainable.
The collection of wicker is inspired by small beach towns along the Peruvian coast with imagery of turquoise waters, cactus shrubbery & a vast shoreline.
