Cecilia Frazada is a beautifully handcrafted & versatile piece; we recommend using her as either a rug or a throw. The natural contrasting tones of camel and brown are the original shade of wool. The frazada has a bold striped design, with soft details of blue and green on the outer trim, making her truly unique. The perfect multi-purpose piece for your home.

Our Cecilia Frazada originated from the breathtaking highlands of the Sacred Valley region of Cusco, Peru. Here weaving is life and skilled artisans are determined to keep their heritage alive by passing down their ancient knowledge to younger generations.

Our artisans spend weeks and sometimes months creating their artwork which is handwoven on back-strapped looms. Each loom roughly measuring 1 metre wide (depending on the arm span of the artisan) which creates frazadas and throws with a similar width, the larger pieces are put together by joining two together. The array of colours that are used in Andean textiles are all sourced from the earth, different colours tell different stories and reflect their culture that can be traced back to the Inca's.

All of the textiles are unique works of art and one of a kind pieces that tell a story beginning with the animal that bears the wool all the way through to the stories that you will create.

Everything has been sourced for a fairtrade price, directly from the communities where they were made.
