Gabriela Frazada Rug
Our Gabriela frazada is one of our largest rugs and the ultimate statement piece. The bright fuschia pink commands attention, with softer details of black and grey adding to its charm. A beautiful stand-alone piece to be celebrated and adorned in your space.
Our Woven Rosa textiles originated from the breathtaking highlands of the Sacred Valley region of Peru. Here, weaving is engrained into life and skilled artisans are determined to keep their heritage alive by passing down their ancient knowledge to younger generations.
Our artisan partners spend weeks and sometimes months creating their artwork which is handwoven on back-strapped looms. Each loom roughly measuring 1 metre wide (depending on the arm span of the artisan) which creates frazadas with a similar width, the larger pieces are constructed by joining two together. The array of colours that are used in Andean textiles are all sourced from the earth, different colours tell different stories that reflect their culture which can be traced right the way back to the Inca’s.
All of the rugs and throws are unique works of art and one of a kind pieces with so much history woven into each stitch - ready for the journey to be carried on into your home.
Everything has been sourced for a fairtrade price directly from the communities where they were made.
