Alpaca Luna Sofa Throw
Our Luna Throw originated from the breathtaking highlands of the Sacred Valley region of Peru. Here, weaving is entwined into the culture and artisans are holding on to their ancient knowledge and techniques educating younger generations.
Weaver’s can spend weeks and sometimes months creating their artwork which is handwoven on back-strapped looms. Each loom roughly measuring 1 metre wide (depending on the arm span of the artisan) which creates throws with a similar width, the larger pieces are then constructed by joining two together. The array of colours that are used in Andean textiles are all sourced from the earth, different colours tell different stories that reflect their heritage which can be traced right the way back to the Inca’s.
All of the throws are unique works of art and one of a kind pieces that already have so much history woven into each stitch. We can’t wait to see where their adventure takes them next and for you to create stories of your own in your home.
Everything has been sourced for a fair price directly from the communities where they were made.
